Hi, kids.
How ya doin?
Me? Hanging in there, trying to survive the past week. Here's a little run-down for you:
Wednesday - In the office at 7 am. Work solid until 6 pm; no lunch break. Meet Amy and a client at 6:30 to see Wicked at The Fox (this was the highlight of the past week!).
Thursday - In the office at 6:45 am. Work solid until 7 pm; no lunch break.
Friday - In the office at 8 am (slacker). Get pulled out of meeting at 10 am with frantic call from mother regarding sick 91-year-old grandfather. Catch a plane to Minneapolis at 1 pm to visit said grandfather. Arrive at hospital at 4 pm, visit with grandfather until 8 pm. In bed at 11 pm.
Saturday - Up at 7 am, off to hospital. Finally eat dinner at 8 pm. In bed at midnight.
Sunday - Up at 6 am, off to hospital. Leave for airport at 9:30 am , arrive in St. Louis at 3:30 pm. In bed at 1 am (hadn't seen my husband for several days, ok?).
Monday - Up at 4am for 6:30 flight to Kansas City. Car stuck in long, icy driveway at 5:15 am. Hijack husband's Jeep and barely make it out of driveway at 5:30 am. Arrive at airport at 6 am to longest security line EVER. Arrive at gate at 6:35. Lovely chat with gate agent; sit in Starbucks until 9 am to catch next flight. Arrive in the nick of time for 11 am meeting. Back to airport at 5 pm; back home at 9 pm. In bed at 11 pm.
Tuesday - In the office at 9 am (double slacker) after a loooong night of stomach flu fun. Sent home at 3 pm; stomach flu party continues...
Wednesday - The party never stops. Can't leave the house due to stomach flu. 8 am conference call. 9 am conference call. 11 am conference call. Doctor appointment. 3 pm conference call. 4 pm conference call (by the way, I'm NOT counting this as a sick day since I worked the whole damn day).
Thursday - By the grace of God, will be able to leave the house in time to arrive at office by 6 am. Rams game with clients at 7 pm. Anticipating complete mental breakdown by 11 pm (stay tuned).
